What happens when the proverbial door slams shut?

Perhaps because of a break-up or divorce. Perhaps because of a layoff or job change. Or perhaps it’s a door closing that you prepared for and expected, like your kids leaving home for college.

No matter whether it’s a planned or unplanned ending, it can leave us sad, disappointed, and ready to bury those feelings in the next gallon of ice cream. Especially if we can’t yet see the new beginning.

This week, on the Fit Over 40 podcast, author Ellen Debenport shares how to navigate these times of change.

Drawing from her beautiful book, Hell in the Hallway, Light at the Door, Ellen explains how we can move through these hallway experiences with more grace and deeper faith.
